Lately the weather has become so hot that I don't like to think of how much sunscreen he'd need for his whole body to do this right now!
We knew it would be coming, and this weekend Chris and I sat down to cut Jonas's hair. (And yes, Jonas's, versus Jonas' is perfectly acceptable. A bit old fashioned, perhaps, but acceptable. I've checked!) I sat with Jonas in my lap while Chris got out the clippers with the one inch attachment to do the honours. While he fidgeted a bit, overall he held pretty still considering the buzzing going on on his head. (After all, this is the boy who still has uncertain feelings towards the blow dryer and vacuum cleaner.) I do admit that I miss the curls, but it does look pretty smart, now. It certainly isn't a perfect cut all round - his hair is pretty wispy and we couldn't keep him perfectly still. But just as the curls and length looked fine on him before because he was a little boy, he can still get away with the imperfections for the same reason - it just looks cute!
p.s. I've since got my hair cut, too - a few inches off of that ponytail and bangs to boot! Though I know it's far less interesting to most of you, perhaps I'll post a shot in a day or so.
